SAMSUNG GALAXY S8 IS ALMOST HERE!

Image
Aren't we excited? The beast S8 is almost here! And it comes with very cool specs including something new called "beast mode" unveiled by Samsung mobile which is actually "a way to speed up a phone's performance using software". The specs are really exciting and this new 'beast mode' looks like something I'll like to try out for myself. The camera on the phone will surely be second to none, but we hope this one doesn't explode like its cousin Note 7. It comes with dual stereo speakers and dual camera setup which is a first on Samsung It also has an 'edge' screen but isn't called edge. But this edge is new as it can be used to access apps directly from the always on display. Believe me,I already bet with a friend that the S8 would be transparent. I guess I have to pay up soon😒. Anyway, the specs: (ps:these specs are only rumored) BUILD-Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Dust and water resistant up to 1.5m and 30 minutes DISPL

SMARTBELTS:THE NEW INNOVATION

Image
How about this? In my time,I've heard of smartphones(using one now),smart watches(I'll write about them later)and even a smart ring(ditto) but now,a smart belt? It's name is "Welt" although there's one made by Samsung. What Welt does is to track weight loss and gain and measure general well being of the wearer. From the picture above, all the tracking tech is situated in the belt buckle. It sends an exact waist measurement to a smartphone app using algorithms. Since the waist is a good place to track steps as you won't be able to fool the belt into thinking you're moving when you're just typing or moving yout arms as is the case with smart watches. Welt can be used to charge phones and some other stuff, but looks like a regular belt. It would really have been cooler if it could be used to take pictures. Then criminals would be easier to track as crime victims could take pictures of evidence without the criminals knowing. Welt is compatible

ELEPHONE S7:A CHEAP COPYCAT

Image
Nawa oh. How many of us know of the leading phone brand in China-Elephone? Well, this post is a little late but they had the nerve to make a phone that looks exactly like Samsung's S7 edge from the front and a little from the back. Here's a picture of the front comparison: image credit:igeekphone.com Elephone may have made a phone that looks uexactly like the Samsung S7 from the front, but it definitely isn't as powerful, although,to the average user,it's quite powerful. Here are the specs though: PROCESSOR-Deca core Helio X20,Mali T880 MP4 GPU RAM-2GB/3GB/4GB ROM-64GB SCREEN-5.5"IPS FHD 1080p ~401ppi CAMERAS-13MP back camera with AF and a single LED flash,5MP front camera BATTERY-ample 3000mAh capacity PRICE-Just 170 dollars From the above specs,it's not up to the original S7,but to me,its a good replica for it's price. What do you think?

SAMSUNG IS TRULY SORRY ABOUT THE NOTE 7

Image
Everyone loved the Note 7-until it started blowing up in people's faces. There were reports of Samsung officials literally kneeling down to beg customers who suffered losses due to the Note 7 battery failure. Maybe it was the processor speeds, maybe a battery failure, the point is Samsung may be facing multiple lawsuits because of this beautiful mistake. They have recalled over 5000 units of the phone for proper testing and analysis and of course, immediate replacement. Samsung engineers are working to ensure that the new batches being shipped have absolutely no fault. But I think I speak for all when I say:stay clear of this phone(and maybe any other samsung)for now.
