Best Cheap Bezelless phones
We all love the iPhone X. And we all love the Samsung Galaxy S9. But what we don't love is their prices. Starting at $1000 and $850 respectively, the newest flagships of the year are beyoud the reach of many, all thanks to their high price tags. Some people want them because they are the best smartphones of 2018. Some want them because they are really, really flashy. Some want them because they have really great cameras. And some may want them because of their extremely beautiful screens. Yes,the bezel-less display was something that xiaomi started with their Mi Mix back in 2017. Samsung followed it up with the S8,and now we all want a phone with such a screen. But many people can't afford the prices Samsung and Apple are asking for. So,I decided to compile the list of the best cheap bezel-less phones on the market today. And here they are:
Best Cheap Bezelless Phones
Asus Zenfone 5
Starting this list is the Asus Zenfone 5. With it's large IPS LCD display, nice dual camera set-up and extremely comfy feeling glass and metal construction, the Asus Zenfone 5 has a lot going for it. And while it's notch makes it quite obvious who it's trying to copy,it's mere spec to price ratio is outstanding. Starting at just over 100000 naira on Jumia Nigeria,it is definitely one of the best cheap bezelless smartphones this year.
Notably,it also has a much cheaper, also bezelless version:the Asus Zenfone 5Z.And while that doesn't have specs as great as the 5,it's still bezelless and equally great, and is worth your consideration.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro
Given that Xiaomi was the one to start this bezelless craze,it comes as no surprise that they made a much cheaper device than the Mi Mix,which was the premier of the bezelless trend we see on all flagship smartphones today. Starting at just over 90000 naira, the specs this phone offers are truly amazing. Being the first smartphone on the planet to sport the Snapdragon 636 processor, this phone deserves to be one of the best cheap bezelless phones on the market.
There is also a face unlock feature which bests the one found on the Galaxy S9. The phone also comes in 3 storage variants-the 3/32,4/64 and 6/128 variants. The one caveat is that this phone isn't available in Nigeria as of now,and it therefore needs to be imported. We have a comprehensive guide on how to do that here.
Xiaomi Redmi 5
Xiaomi once again makes it to this list. And whilst this phone may not be half as powerful as most of the other phones on this list, this one is targeted mainly at those who want a bezelless screen but are on an ultra tight budget. Starting at just 57000 naira on Jumia.com,this phone sports a 5.7 inch HD+ screen,a Snapdragon 450 processor,2GB of RAM,16GB ROM and a 12MP camera. The specs are quite impressive for a phone costing only so much, and while it won't impress as much as the others on this list,it surely is worth a mention.
Vivo V9 Plus
Again, just like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro,this one has to be imported. If you missed our guide on how to do that, here it is. The V9 Plus from Vivo could be descibed as an excellent spec to price ratio phone. And while the picture above and it's overall software experience will tell you where Vivo geets it's inspiration from. And if you're not a big fan of iOS copycats, then don't even think of getting this phone. But of you just want a bezelless phone on the cheap and you couldn't care less about software, then you should get this phone right away.
Huawei Honor 7X
If you want the best phone experience with a bezelless screen to boot, and you don't want to spend up to $200,then this phone was made for you. With an unbelievable spec sheet, and even a dual camera set up,this should be your 1st smartphone on your list of phones to buy.(if you don't know how to choose a phone,we have a guide here. Do check it out.) Sure, this phone has it's own set of caveats,it really is the best smartphone on this list.
