How to care for your phone

Many of us(I think all of us)nowadays use smartphones. But there is a problem. The lifespan. Some of us who can spare lots of Clement Isiongs and Alhaji Aliyu Mai Bornus tend to buy a phone and change it within the space of a year. Some decide to use theirs for 2 years, and some can go on using one for as long as 3-4 years(my sister still has an iPhone 5s,I wonder when change would come). The truth of the matter is that as no phone is perfect, they tend to fall apart with constant use. The battery gets weaker, some pixels die in the screen, the processor speeds reduce, and etc, etc. So,here's how to prolong the lives of your smartphones.

1. NEVER charge it overnight
I know that a smartphone is capable of switching its power source to the incoming current when its battery is full, but this is no reason why you should leave it overnight. If your phone is dead and you need power the next day,and you can't wait, charge your power bank instead. Most of us have one thanks to,well,Nigeria as a whole.
This is because your smartphone can produce a large amount of heat in order to charge quicker, and this heat can cause corrosion of the materials used in the battery.

2. Leave the percentage between 10% and 90%
It's a good idea NOT to fully charge your phone to 100% too often,as the phone tends yo recaliberate during this period, leading to loss in battery life,as the way you use the phone immediately its unplugged is how the power would deplete, regardless of how lightly you use the phone.
Also, don't charge your phone when its higher than 40%,and don't let your phone die completely(I.e get to 0%).

3. Use a glass protector and case
Glass protectors may lead to slower touch response, and cases may take away your device's beauty, but they prevent scratches from reaching your phone
It's also a good idea to put a slip of tissue behind your camera while using your case,to prevent scratches to the camera when you put it on rough surfaces.

Lastly, don't use it for long periods without taking breaks.
This one is especially for most people. They enjoy watching videos on their phones, but its much more convenient to watch such videos on a laptop(a good one, like a Macbook or Matebook),and these laptops were designed to take stressful use over a long period of time.Smartphones can't do this, and this reduces their life span.

If you have any tips that aren't here, kindly post them in the comments section, and they'd be added to this list immediately. Thanks for stopping by.
