Why your phone no longer charges quickly, and how to solve it

Most manufacturers nowadays push out devices with special methods of fast charging. OnePlus is on top of this food chain, charging a dead battery to 70% in just 30 minutes. That's called Dash Charge.™ Samsung implements Qualcomm Quick Charge,Oppo uses VOOC,Huawei uses Super Charge, and so on. The problem with most of these is efficiency. If you bought a phone from any of the above named manufacturers and it came with that type of feature, you'd want it to last forever. But it won't. So here are some reasons why your phone which formerly used to charge quickly now moves along at a snail's pace:

1. Your USB Cable is bad
For those of us still using Micro USB,you'd notice that on the end of the cable which you plug into your phone, there are two things like hooks. If these things bend, your phone is likely to charge slower. This is because those things are put there to hold the phone in a specific position that allows current to pass through quickly. If those things flatten, you'd first notice that your USB cable slithers out of your phone, even when no one touches it. Then, you notice slowing times slow down.
Solution:Get a new USB cord depending on your type of tech. If you use Micro USB(non reversible),get a new one. Same for USB C.

2. Your Charger head is bad
This may arise due to power surges or high voltage than damages the head rather than the phone. Usually, chargers are designed to take the impact on high voltages rather than letting them pass to your phone. This could be a cause of slow charging on your usually fast charging device. I believe the solution is quite simple.
Solution:Get a new charger head

3. You aren't supplying enough voltage
If you look at the picture above, you notice that in the area circled you can see some wordings like 5V=1.5A. This means that it would require 5V to create 1.5A of current which will subsequently be pushed into the phone to charge it. Anything less than 5V would not produce 1.5A as in this case,so if the phone was to charge in 60 minutes with 5V,it would take or longer with less.
Solution:Wait for higher voltages or use a stabilizer

4. Your USB Port is damaged
I was really hoping it wouldn't get to this. If your USB port is damaged, either by physical or liquid action, you'd have to take it to the manufacturer, or trust Otigba boys to do it for you.
Solution:Last sentence

5. Your battery is damaged
For those of us with replaceable batteries, this wouldn't be news, but for us with irreplaceable batteries, you'd have to take it to the manufacturer to get it changed. The battery may be damaged due to power surges or sheer overcharging.
Solution:Get the battery changed

6. Your socket is damaged
If this happens, the connectors which you plug your charger into would not supply enough voltage to quickly fill up your phone. This could lead to slower charging times.
Solution:Change sockets or use a good one.

These are only a couple of problems and their obvious solutions. If you know any others, feel free to share. Thanks.
